Last Sunday the team at Doncaster Van Conversions had the pleasure of attending Elsecar at the Races. A family-orientated car show held at Doncaster Racecourse, showcasing some of the best VW Group and retro cars! Back for its fifth year, Elsecar at the Races didn’t fall short of fantastic motors, with over 100 cars featured in the indoor exhibition and over 600 additional show cars occupying the outside space.
We attended the event as a trader and exhibitor and we were lucky enough to showcase our signature T6X6 alongside our partner in crime, Jo’s Fab Lab. If you had the chance to stop by and take a look at our killer T6X6, you will have noticed the glowing new colour scheme that was expertly done by the Jo’s Fab Lab team. Jo’s Fab Lab was also exhibiting their incredible 1953 Ford P350 Ice Cream Truck as well as the gorgeous custom BMX, and the Beatle featuring a fresh white paint job. Running from 10am until 4pm, our team had a brilliant day meeting faces both old and new and discussing exactly what DVC can offer to those interested in bespoke camper van conversions. As we mentioned previously, we were showcasing our newly painted T6X6, thanks to Jo’s team, which piqued a lot of interest from those who attended. But the T6X6 certainly grabbed the attention of passers-by when it came to the bonnet. Adorned with an incredible original piece of airbrushed artwork by Nimbus Airbrush Art and complementary 24-carat gold VW badge, we know how to create a van that stands out from the crowd.

At 6 meters long, this hand-built and completely unique 6 wheeler offers 90L of onboard water, a full hot shower system, 30 days of sustainability off-grid with a 240v power system and is fully certified by the DVSA. Not to mention the pop-top roof with bespoke starlight lighting, creating an incredible ambience.
Heading inside, the T6X6 features a stunning interior that combines practicality and comfort. With a plethora of storage, a cosy sleeping area, functional seating and all the kitchen essentials, we think about exactly what you need, down to the last detail. A great example in our T6X6 is the bespoke under-mount glass holder, perfect for kicking back and enjoying a tipple after a long day in the great outdoors.

You may also be interested to know that the T6X6, that was built in collaboration with Jo’s Fab Lab, took over 2000 man-hours to create. Since then, the van has travelled over 30,000 miles around the British Isles and is just as perfect as the day she was created.
This van isn’t a trailer queen, she is driven daily and camped in often. Our T6X6 is an evolutionary project, having regular conversion upgrades to see how far we can push the boundaries on van conversion.
